FEES - INVESTIGATION
It is very challenging to predict the cost of an investigation. Factors such as the nature, complexity and number of allegations and the number of witnesses that must be interviewed can have a huge impact on the time required to conduct the investigation and therefore the cost. As a result, most investigations are billed on an hourly basis, which averages out to roughly $275/hour.
We often use note takers and transcribers to interview witnesses. These are typically billed at the hourly rate of $25 per hour. The use of note takers and transcribers tends to reduce the time engaged by our investigators and in this way reduces the overall cost of an investigation.
While there is an added cost, in serious sexual harassment cases involving both sexes, it is generally our recommendation that both a male and a female investigator be involved the interviews of the complainant and the respondent.
